EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg (CTH) is planning to implement Conroo's gate pass solution to enable a fully digital verification of truck drivers.
The aim is to increase efficiency and safety throughout the process at EUROGATE container terminals. The digital solution guarantees arrival and departure without delays.
The previous access authorization, the analog “trucker card”, will no longer be valid at EUROGATE Hamburg as of May 2, 2024 and will be replaced by a Conroos Gate Pass.
Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven will follow immediately, as will other EUROGATE international locations.
The new app works on all common mobile devices and covers registration, digital driver verification, DAKOSY route planning (TR02) and on-site instructions. It integrates with various players in the logistics chain, including TMS, platforms such as DriveMyBox, depots, and warehouses.
Gate Pass aims to eliminate the complex paper-based registration process for truck drivers by streamlining the processing of travel orders with early gate and lane information. This reduces queues and waiting times for drivers, allows more time for other tasks, and improves safety by reducing the need to leave the truck at the terminal, except while charging.
The new Gate Pass app solution will be gradually introduced at all EUROGATE Group terminal locations in Germany from spring 2024.
“We are using a solution that has been tried and tested at hinterland terminals and depots and are using the digitization of the trucker card to significantly improve terminal processes for truck drivers and us as terminal operators,” explained Jannis Grantz, project manager at EUROGATE. Group.
