The previous access authorization, the analog “trucker card”, is to expire from May 2 at the Eurogate location in Hamburg.
Eurogate is now introducing Conroo's Gate Pass solution at Container Terminal Hamburg (CTH). This is reported by a press release from March 20. Among other things, the app should enable the digital verification of truck drivers. The digital solution developed by Conroo in coordination with Eurogate for identifying truck drivers at the pick-up or delivery location is intended to guarantee arrival and departure without time delays.
According to the two companies, the previous access authorization, the analog “trucker card”, will then lose its validity at the Eurogate location in Hamburg from May 2, 2024 and will be replaced by the Conroo Gate Pass. Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven are to follow immediately, as well as other international Eurogate locations. Michael Blach, Chairman of the Group Management Board of the EUROGATE Group:
“Today, we're taking more than just a step forward. By introducing the Conroo solution across locations, we are setting new standards for the entire Eurogate Group. But this also sends a signal to other maritime and hinterland terminals. Everyone can ultimately benefit from the more efficient exchange of information along the entire supply chain. ”
App for registration to tour planning
The fully digital gate pass not only ensures greater efficiency, but also significantly more security throughout terminal operations. The app solution therefore works on all common mobile devices and comprises the entire process, from registration and fully digital verification of the driver to Dakosy trip planning (TR02) and on-site instructions.
According to the two companies, the system also has numerous interfaces that integrate all players involved along the logistics chain. This includes TMS, platforms such as DriveMyBox, and depots and warehouses. Conroo always acts as an independent and neutral partner with regard to the location of operation. The new app solution will be gradually introduced at all Eurogate Group terminal locations in Germany from spring 2024. Jannis Grantz, project manager at the EUROGATE Group:
“We rely on a solution that has been tried and tested at hinterland terminals and depots and are using the digitization of the trucker card to significantly improve terminal processes for truck drivers and us as terminal operators. ”
