Every day, an average of 3,500 trucks travel to the Eurogate Group's container terminals in Germany to deliver or pick up containers. that Start-up Conroo, a specialist in digital handling at container terminals, depots and warehouses, which started in the hinterland in 2021, is led by Markus Hartung and Felix Paul Czerny.
The start-up company has in coordination with Eurogate, a new function called “Gate Pass” for processes at seaport terminals has been developed. The digital solution is used to identify truck drivers at the pick-up or delivery location and guarantees arrival and departure without time delays.
Smart app instead of plastic card
The previous access permit, The analog trucker card with which truck drivers have so far registered at the terminal will expire from May 2, 2024 at the Eurogate location in Hamburg and be replaced by the Conroo Gate Pass. From spring 2024, the digital solution will gradually be available at all German terminal locations, i.e. in Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven be introduced. And Eurogate's international locations are also to follow immediately.
