The current access authorization, the analog “trucker card,” is set to lose its validity at the Eurogate location in Hamburg starting May 2nd.

Eurogate is now introducing the Conroo Gate Pass solution at the Container Terminal Hamburg (CTH), as reported in a press release on March 20th. The app is intended to enable digital verification of truck drivers, among other features. The digital solution for identifying truck drivers at pickup or delivery locations, developed by Conroo in collaboration with Eurogate, aims to guarantee smooth access and departure without delays.

The current access authorization, the analog “trucker card,” will lose its validity at the Eurogate location in Hamburg starting May 2nd, 2024, and will be replaced by the Conroo Gate Pass, according to both companies. Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven are set to follow immediately, as well as other international Eurogate locations. Michael Blach, Chairman of the Group Management Board of Eurogate Group, stated:

“Today, we are taking more than just one step forward. By introducing the Conroo solution across locations, we are setting new standards for the entire Eurogate Group. But this also sends a signal to other sea and hinterland terminals. Ultimately, everyone can benefit from more efficient information exchange along the entire supply chain.”

App for Registration to Tour Planning

The fully digital Gate Pass not only ensures greater efficiency but also significantly enhances security throughout the terminal operation. The app solution works on all common mobile devices and covers the entire process, from registration to full digital verification of the driver, to Dakosy tour planning (TR02), and on-site instructions.

According to the two companies, the system also includes numerous interfaces that integrate all stakeholders along the logistics chain. These include TMS, platforms like driveMybox, as well as depots and warehouses. Conroo always acts as an independent and neutral partner regarding the deployment location. The new app solution will be gradually introduced at all German terminal locations of the Eurogate Group starting from spring 2024. Jannis Grantz, project manager at Eurogate Group, commented:

“We are opting for a solution that has proven itself at hinterland terminals and depots and are utilizing the digitalization of the trucker card to significantly improve processes at the terminal for truck drivers and us as terminal operators.”
