A digital and secure solution – that was the simple wish and vision behind the joint step and forward-looking cooperation of EUROGATE and CONROO. Starting from March 20th, the solution GATE PASS by CONROO will be introduced, beginning at the EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg (CTH), which among other things enables a fully digital verification of the truck drivers. The goal: more efficiency and more security throughout the process at the EUROGATE container terminals. EUROGATE is embracing the proven CONROO APP solution from the hinterland, in line with environmentally friendly combined transport and in the interest of the economic location.

EUROGATE operates container terminals in five countries across Europe and North Africa. The “GATE PASS,” a digital solution developed by CONROO in close coordination with EUROGATE for the identification of truck drivers at pick-up or delivery locations, guarantees entry and exit without delays. The existing access authorization, the analog “trucker card,” will lose its validity at the EUROGATE location in Hamburg on May 2, 2024, and will be replaced by the CONROO GATE PASS. Bremerhaven and Wilhelmshaven will follow suit immediately, as well as other international EUROGATE locations.

EUROGATE is thus opting for the CONROO APP solution, which has already proven successful at numerous terminal and depot locations in the DACH region, including terminal locations of Deutsche Bahn, Swissterminal, or TriCon.

“Today, we are taking more than just one step forward. By introducing the CONROO solution across locations, we are setting new standards for the entire EUROGATE Group. However, this also sends a signal to other sea and hinterland terminals. Ultimately, everyone can benefit from more efficient information exchange along the entire supply chain,” explains Michael Blach, Chairman of the Group Management Board of the EUROGATE Group.
